Job description

Position Objectives

ENEA is currently searching for a qualified Principal Software Engineer to work on a Contract opportunity with an aerospace company in the Minneapolis, MN area. Position will involve embedded software development on radar altimeters, as well as development and maintenance of Windows PC-based engineering software tools.


Project brief

1. Designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing embedded Military Avionics Software Programming Applications.
2. Potentially coordinates small work teams.
3. Provides technical support to project team members.
4. Identify, evaluate and implement tools and processes to continually improve the software development process
5. Conduct code reviews and apply best practices and coding standards


Contacts & Supervisory Responsibilities

May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Potentially coordinates small work teams. Provides technical support to project team members.


Qualifications

1. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 10+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
2. Due to Government Related Programs, US Citizenship is required.


Required Key Skills

1. DO-178B/C DAL A-D or other high-rigor software process experience
2. Software languages include C and C++ for embedded development, and C++ and potentially C# for PC applications.
3. DOORS experience documenting & modifying requirements
