This is a contract to hire position located in Torrance, CA. Customer is open to Contract- Long term contract or contract to hire.

Principal Responsibilities:

-Primarily in the field of Electrical Engineering with significant experience required in the areas of position control and power electronics and project management.

Project management, Test Equipment design, fabrication and verification are key experiences needed.

-Primary motivator and contributor to the analysis, conceptual design, development, and testing of complex control test equipment used on military, commercial and NASA vehicles and equipment.
-The incumbent will operate either independently or as part of a design/development team, which includes other Department engineers.- Primary concerns are system or component performance and integration, both being achieved within budget and prescribed schedules.
-The incumbent will coordinate the work of drafters, technicians, designers, analysts, manufacturing engineers and others who assist in specific assignments.
-Responsible for communicating with the involved Division support personnel, keeping them informed of progress and educating them on the operation and performance of the design.
-Must frequently solicit the aid and support of others to achieve difficult schedule objectives.
-The incumbent's responsibilities may include the direct supervision of up to four subordinate engineers and/or project or product-engineering technicians.

Experience & Qualifications:

-Prior experience understanding the design, analysis, and development of complex electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, or electro- pneumatic servo-mechanisms used in testing products.
-In addition, he/she must have a proven record of successful development programs working as a part of a project team in this field.

Education: Bachelor- degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Job Description:

Overview:
The Instrumentation Technician will provide technical expertise is the areas of instrumentation and data acquisition hardware in support of our launch vehicles and spacecraft.Responsibilities:

• Performs complex technical assignments involving instrumentation and data acquisition/processing systems

Qualifications:

The selected candidates will become a technical staff member for laboratory development for F-22 and F-35 Pilot-in-the-loop simulators. .

The specific assignment will be the development of real-time software products in Ada and C++ to be used in the F-22 and F-35 Labs.

The successful candidate can expect simulation and modeling assignments in one or more of the following areas: RF and IR signatures, Electronic Warfare, Aircraft and associated Avionics for man-in-the-loop simulation, Aircraft Control and Propulsion Systems, air-to-air and/or surface-to-air missiles, air-to-ground weapons, missile control systems, expendable countermeasures, ground-based early warning, acquisition, and tracking radars.

These software models will be developed in primarily in Ada with some C++. A Bachelor Degree or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering with significant software development experience and simulation / modeling experience are preferred for these positions.

However, other technical disciplines (Physics, Math, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc.) will be considered along with relevant work experience for applicability to this position.

Prior use of Ada and C++ software languages is required as well as direct experience with real-time software systems and environments.

Excellent communication skills, computer skills, and computer architecture knowledge and domain knowledge in simulation and/or real-time embedded software system is desired.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

An active Secret clearance is required for this position.

Development work uses C++, Ada, limited Python, Eclipse, DOORS, Dimensions, UML, and AdaCore GnatPro Studio (GPS).

**This is primarily a first shift position. However, any candidate submitted should on occasion and driven by business needs plan for working an off shift or alternate schedule which could contain 2nd or 3rd shift hours and/or weekend work**

Job Description:
Specific duties will include:
-test procedure development;
-test planning and preparation;
-test procedure execution;
-coordinate system resources to support testing;
-support test development, integration, and anomaly resolution as required;
-support off-hours testing and associated projects as needed.
-This role requires knowledge/experience with electronic circuits, automated test software, manufacturing processes, and the manufacturing test environment.
-Additionally, the ability to interpret test requirements, implement requirement based test methodologies, and utilize statistical data analysis is required.
-Personal characteristics must include flexibility, adaptability, a self-starter requiring minimal direct supervision, able to work both individually and as part of a team, and able to interact and work well with Company employees and internal customers
-An eye test is required and is a condition of this offer

Description:

The functional expertise required for this Sr. Project Engineering Position is primarily in the field of Electronics Engineering with significant experience required in the areas of position control and power electronics and project management.

The Senior Project Engineer is a primary motivator and contributor to the analysis, conceptual design, development, and testing of complex control test equipment used on military, commercial and NASA vehicles and equipment. Most new applications require a special, tailored design, even though adaptation of existing designs always should be considered where appropriate. The incumbent will operate either independently or as part of a design/development team, which includes other Department engineers. His/Her primary concerns are system or component performance and integration, both being achieved within budget and prescribed schedules. The incumbent will coordinate the work of drafters, technicians, designers, analysts, manufacturing engineers and others who assist in specific assignments.

The Sr. Project Engineer is responsible for communicating with the involved Division support personnel, keeping them informed of progress and educating them on the operation and performance of the design. He/She must frequently solicit their aid and support to achieve difficult schedule objectives.
The incumbent's responsibilities may include the direct supervision of up to four subordinate engineers and/or project or product-engineering technicians. This would include setting their workload and priorities, counseling and conducting performance appraisals.

Since this individual will often be seen by customers as the responsible technical representative of the company, he/she must be able to communicate fluently to a wide variety of audiences. He/She will be required to travel frequently and organize and make presentations to customers.

To achieve the position of Senior Project Engineer, an individual will have a BS degree in Engineering, probably an advanced degree, with a depth of understanding achieved through experience in the design, analysis, and development of complex electrohydraulic, electromechanical, or electropneumatic servomechanisms. In addition, he/she must have a proven record of successful development programs working as a part of a project team.
