Software Configuration Analyst

Description:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Owns the source code management process; build automation, and deployment, while balancing best practices and business
requirements
l
l Works with software engineers to develop, capture, validate, prioritize, decompose manage, and prioritize a complete set of
user and system requirements
Tracks development, existing, and new versions of software code, and creating reports needed to deploy new software releases
Tracks and stores existing and new vendor software



EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
l BS/BA minimum in related discipline
l Demonstrated experience in managing multiple code bases (branching, baselining, labeling, etc) using GIT and/or Subversion.
l Experience developing, enforcing, and improving software configuration management processes and documents.
l Possess an intermediate understanding of scripting, Unix/Linux environments and Windows.
l Familiarity with a Configuration Management automation tool, e.g., Puppet, Ansible.
l Experience with PLM/PDM lifecycle tools: Windchill or Enovia.
l Experience with vendor software management and verification – tracking and storing existing and new vendor software.
l Experience performing CM in a software development environment.
l Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
l Thorough technical understanding revision control and development process.
Familiarity with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE), e.g., Eclipse, Netbeans, Visual Cafe, and test harnesses, e.g.,
Junit.
l
l Ability to work with various disciplines including software engineers, quality and operations personnel.
