Description

Designs industrial machinery and equipment, tools, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and machine attachments required for production or experimental use, considering such factors as accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements. Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts, in the field. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.

Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory:

Secret Clearance with 5 yr re-investigation required.
Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and approaches to assignment. Proficient use of Catia V5 and Microsoft Suites software.
Desired:

Advanced understanding of engineering concepts including design and mechanical. Manufacturing floor experience and the ability to apply tooling concepts to repair and modify aircraft assemblies. Innovative approaches to difficult producibility / manufacturing issues.
