Job Summary:
The Aircraft Mechanic I (Electrical)troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems. This mechanic repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. This worker reads and interprets manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. This mechanic performs 100-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections, examines reciprocating engines for cracked cylinders and oil leaks, and listens to operating engine to detect and diagnose malfunctions, such as sticking or burnt valves, inspects jet engines and components for cracks, corrosion, foreign object damage, burned areas, distortions, security, warping, wear, and missing segments. Inspects jet engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks, tests engine operation, using testing equipment, such as ignition analyzer, compression checker, distributor timer, ammeter, and jet calibration (Jetcal) tester, to locate source of malfunction. Work involves: replacing or repairing worn or damaged components, such as carburetors, alternators, magnetos, fuel controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, and engine mounted gearboxes, and compressor bleed valves using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment; removing engine from aircraft, using hoist or forklift truck, disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects, and repairing or replacing defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine in aircraft. Qualifications and Education Requirements
Applicant must have H-60 experience. H-47 experience is also welcome.

    15. Be fully involved in supporting the Design Change process and activity.

The EWIS Engineer, Senior will support in a blended role, drafting wire routings throughout VIP aircraft. This Diagnostic Modeler position requires an engineer capable of performing analysis of reliability, maintainability, and system health of aircraft subsystems. Ability to analyze complex electrical and mechanical subsystems is essential. You will evaluate failure mode effects and criticality analysis (FMECA) data from subsystem suppliers to create fault trees and model the fault behavior using MATLAB and Simulink. You will work with the latest generations of aircraft platforms (both commercial and military).

You should have a working knowledge of Fault Detection, Fault Isolation, False Alarm Mitigation, and No Fault Found (Can Not Duplicate). You will develop diagnostic models from schematics, FMECAs, and other available supplier documentation. The chosen candidate will translate these models to a Times Failure Propagation Graph (TFPG) model via scripts. The chosen candidate will also translate the information from the diagnostic models to MATLAB\SIMLINK models via scripts. 2. Background/Need
Group 108 works to understand air defense issues, in particular, air vehicle survivability, vulnerability of U.S. Air Force (USAF) aircraft to weapons systems, electronic countermeasures, and air surveillance for homeland defense. The focus is on understanding USAF and threat air defense systems through tests and measurements. Test activities include flight, field, and laboratory testing. We operate three airplanes, all highly instrumented and numerous ground systems as needed for test efforts. We also develop new hardware for testing and prototype systems as well as for instrumenting existing sensors. Group 108 requires for one full time Engineer to support the aircraft structural modification project.
3. Position Scope/Job Functions
Candidate will be responsible for the management of a multi-year transformation of a Gulfstream IV-SP into the next Airborne Sensor Test Bed (ASTB). The project entails major airframe modifications including fuselage and wing strengthening, the integration of under wing / centerline instrumentation pods, nose and tail electromagnetic and optical sensors, a sonobuoy or dropsonde release system and major electrical/data infrastructure. Candidate will participate in overseeing vendors performing the necessary aircraft modifications and ensuring that the work is properly executed, documented and delivered on schedule. Support will also include design and conduct of a flight test program to demonstrate compliance with modifications specifications and to obtain FAA approvals for continued operations. Related work will include establishment of a configuration management program and documentation archive to support the aircraft throughout its life.

Responsibilities of the Flight Control Systems Engineer

InProcess Inspector

Description:

Duties:
  • Performs limited repetitive dimensional and electrical inspection using basic equipment and established procedures with minimum supervision of a higher inspector or supervisor.
  • Need to have mechanical aptitude with an ability execute good record keeping practices as a major part of the duties.
  • Must be detail-oriented and adept at accuracy.
  • Must be flexible and able to work with a variety of different people and in different areas depending on business need.
  • Interpret drawings and written work instructions.
  • Uses a variety of precision measuring instruments including electrical test equipment including calipers, and micrometer.
  • Schedules, plans, and executes assigned or delegated tasks in an efficient manner.
  • Prioritizes workload such that production delays are minimized or eliminated.
  • Ability to interface directly with customer representatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Must possess basic mathematical abilities and be computer literate and is comfortable using different applications.

  • Good written, verbal, mathematical and analytical skills
  • High School degree
  • IPC 600, 610 and JStandard certification preferred

Industrial Electrician

Primary Responsibilities:
All areas of electrical work will be performed including bending conduit, pulling wire, control circuitry and reading electrical blue prints.
 
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
2-3 years of experience in commercial/industrial work preferred. Medium voltage and electronics experience a plus.
Need to possess a working knowledge of NEC electrical codes, and strong conduit bending skills. Instrumentation/Control Engineer

Description:
Selected individual will be responsible for performing all aspects of instrumentation and process control engineering and design in support of industrial clients.  Individual must be able to make independent decisions on engineering design challenges and methods.   Provide instrumentation specification, controls systems installation, and equipment integration design as part of a project team. Gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule for assigned tasks. Recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly. Provide on-site assistance during construction and start-up. Coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead to ensure total project delivery success.   Development of project specifications and scope documents, project cost estimates, and system design documentation.   Produce instrument spec sheets, instrument indexes, loop diagrams and wiring schematics, device location layouts, communication layouts, wire/cable/conduit schedules. Produce installation details, control system architectures, rack room layouts, functional specifications, configuration and tuning settings, connection diagrams, I/O rack and control panel layouts. Collaboration with OEMs and Vendors in specification adherence, device and system bidding and purchasing, design information management and controls interface between equipment. 
 
A minimum of 10 years of related engineering experience required. BS in Electrical or Process Controls Engineering required. Experience in the Pulp/Paper & Tissue, Food & Beverage, Consumer Products, Chemical, Oil &Gas or Mining industries is highly desired.  General working knowledge of instrumentation and process control/DCS systems essential. DCS system and HMI configuration and programming experience preferred. Field support (construction, installation, pre start-up inspection and operational testing) to meet functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements.  Must be adept at maintaining effective and positive relationships with engineering management, office leaders, project managers, clients, OEMs, and vendors. PE registration is desirable.

Interiors Design Engineer

Description:
Design responsibilities primarily involve engineering design of new and derivative versions of interior furnishings and amenities as part of outfitting new aircraft. Examples include custom cabinetry such as galleys, lavatories, closets, storage compartments, interior peripheries, water/waste systems, oxygen systems, electrical wire routing, lighting, PSU, cabin liners, ledges/dados, entertainment equipment installations, and seating installations. -Design engineer will design installations for aforementioned commodities along with necessary airframe modifications to meet load requirements of the interior installation and should have the competency with Weight & Center of Gravity Analysis. -Knowledgeable with Part 25 aircraft requirements and some familiarity with Part 135 requirements. -Engineering design work includes the creation of drawings/models using either CATIA V5, or AutoCAD and SmarTeam. Design Engineer will be required to liaison with the shop on engineering issues. -Design assignments Item Installation Analysis, Similarity Analysis and Mount Configuration along with any other required items.
