Structural Engineer

Description:
Role: Structural Engineer
Location: Vandenberg AFB, CA
Duration: 6 months’ contract


Job Requirements:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering
• Discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of relevant job experience.
• Requires a bachelor's degree and 4 -8 years of experience (for external candidates only).
• Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult engineering/scientific problems.
• Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectives.
• Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects.
• Failure to achieve expected results would typically result in serious project delays.
• Works with minimal direction.
• Independently determines and develops approaches to problems.
• Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
• Receives guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with fluids and thermodynamics designs.
• Familiarity with structural design.
• Proficient with mechanical design utilizing NX-11/10/9 Team Center, Model Based Engineering.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office platform tools and Project integration skills.
