Project Engineer/Component Product Engineer II-III (Valves & Acutators

Description:
Location: Canoga Park, CA
Rate: $35.00 - $45.00/HR
Duration: 6 month contract

** Candidates must be U.S. Citizens **
** Permanent residents are NOT eligible for this role **
** Dual citizens are NOT eligible for this role. Also, candidates with a current non-U.S. passport in addition to a U.S. passport are NOT acceptable **

Duties:
** This is NOT a Designer role**
-Position is for a Component Product Engineer / Project Engineer for the development, fabrication and test of rocket engine valves and actuators.

Skills:
-Experience with liquid rocket propulsion systems desired.
-Understanding and use of analytical, design or process procedures pertinent to Rocket engine valve and actuator advanced development.
-Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, develop planning and procedures for assembly and test; Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; effective presentation and report writing skills will be required.
-Project skills in developing MS Project scheduling and Earned Value Measurement Systems is a plus.
-May require the use of engineering test equipment, CAD, and/or various computer systems.
-Ability to operate effectively in a team environment.
-Demonstrated leadership skills are highly desireable.

Education:
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering is required, plus 5 - 10 years experience in related field. MSME/AE degree is highly desireable.
