Designer / Drafter

Description:
Designer with Naval Architecture experience needed to design components or portions of systems, modify existing designs for process improvements and to facilitate manufacturing operations.
Ideally this Designer/ Drafter will have advanced knowledge and use of CAD, CAM or CATIA graphic tools, and be able to confidently work with and present design proposals to project teams. Duties include coordinating design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications.
Desired Qualifications:
AS or 2 year Technical degree in Design / Drafting or related discipline
6 years Design/ Draft experience with primary experience in Design
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD
Prior Naval Architecture experience
Full understanding and working knowledge of Nav Arc/Structural/Foundation/Outfitting & Furnishings; and how all engineering functions interface
Location: Pascagoula, MS
Pay range: DOE $48.00-58.00/hr
Term: 1 year or indefinite
