Avionics Engineer

Description:
The Avionics Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of the assigned avionic systems for the aircraft.

Previous Garmin experience is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Define, plan, and develop complex systems level requirements to support the avionic systems for the HondaJet aircraft.

5+ years of experience in building user interfaces using HTML5, JavaScript and related technologies with a strong focus on User Experience
Strong knowledge of JQuery, JQuery UI, Backbone, Bootstrap, Service Workers and experience building applications with vanilla JavaScript
Excellent understanding of both front end (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and server side (Node.js, Java or Python) technologies
Excellent communication skills; verbal skills and written presentation skills.
Solid understanding of functional programming, object oriented programming and CS foundations
Structured, organized, methodical thinker; Persistent, creative, tenacious work ethic.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Background in Event Driven Architecture and complex distributed systems that are highly available and scalable
Developed applications for the financial industry with real time data processing is a plus
Electronic trading software knowledge is a plus
