Job Description

Instrumentation Lab Technician (Aerospace Rotorcraft)

You Will :

• Report to the onsite Engineering Manager
• The Instrumentation Laboratory Technician is responsible for setting up, operation and maintenance of specialized instrumentation data acquisition systems.
• This includes the use of simple electronics equipment including ohmmeter and voltmeter. This includes wiring and soldering connections.
• He/she must possess technical skills for troubleshooting, maintenance and limited repair of low power DC circuits.
• Work on both metallic and Composite parts/ assemblies to fix strain gages and wiring for data collection
• There may be travel requirements for off-site testing which can last up to 8 weeks at a time. Also, candidate should
• Can work second shift if necessary.

You Will Need:
• Ability to solder and build cables, with knowledge of various connector types.
• Very good knowledge of strain gages, fixing them on surfaces such as Composite structures, metallic structures and pipes etc.
• Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment with customers and other disciplines
• Proficient to read and understand wiring diagrams for small project assembly
• Able to read and understand mechanical drawings
• Microsoft software suite applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Good communication skills – oral and written.
• Physical strength -ability to lift up to 75 lbs , climb and work for extend periods in confined areas

Education: Associate Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Science / Mech. engineering (preferred), High School Diploma (required)

STS Technical Services is hiring A&P Mechanics in Dallas, Texas.

Overview:

Contractors will be performing line maintenance on CRJ 900 AC at DFW. Techs will work out on the ramp, so ideal candidate would have experience on CRJ AC, experience with line MX and is able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Techs will be SIDA badged right away, so we need to make sure all candidates understand that they will not be able to stay if they have any FAA/DOT disqualifying violations in their past.

All mechanics must have an active A&P license.

Job Duties:
Perform required maintenance on company aircraft.
Ensure all tasks assigned are completed in accordance with manufacturer’s manuals and FAA accepted or approved data
Adheres to all applicable FARs and Company policies and procedures outlined in the General Procedures Manual (GPM) and the Company’s, FAA Approved Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program
Interpret aircraft technical manuals, and electrical drawings
Responsible for movement of aircraft in hangar and on ramp, including operation of tow-tractor

ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLER

Description:
Displays knowledge of Electrical Theory and usage of NEC and NFPA 79 in the assembly of machines with AC and DC circuits. What You’ll Need



  • BS or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 8 or more years of related experience. 
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Current Top Secret/SCI security clearance required.

Job Description:
1. The Staff Electrical Engineer will work with a global team of engineers in Phoenix and India, on electronic control units for aerospace applications.
2. The role will support the entire design life cycle from project planning efforts to entry into service and production transition support.
3. Requirements definition using DOORS, detailed design, validation of requirements and verification of implementation.
4. Also includes managing Problem reports for hardware that has already been delivered.
5. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills and works well in a team environment.
6. As a Staff Electrical Engineer, this role will lead and mentor other electrical engineers throughout the entire design life cycle and support project planning efforts and ensure execution to schedule and budget.

Primary Responsibilities:

5. Participate in component design reviews.
6. Utilize appropriate Lean Product Development tools to support cost-effective technical solutions with heavy focus on platform design, reuse, and knowledge-management.

8. Design responsibilities include architecture, development and analysis of RF, wireless and high speed communication links.
9. Create documentation including hardware design plans, technical requirements, functional specifications, design specifications, qualification test plans and reports.

11. Support project planning efforts and ensure execution to schedule and budget.
12. Interface and support validation, verification and manufacturing engineers and technicians with product and manufacturing testing.
13. Apply knowledge of DOE, FMEA, tolerance analysis, simulation and statistical methods to improve robustness and quality of electronic designs.

Description:
This position performs the welding function and prepares machinery for machining, paint and assembly functions. Possesses knowledge of pipefitting/welding/mechanical and light electrical work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


l) Qualifies to company set welding procedures as written and as tested by external sources.

  1. Welds metal parts together according to detail drawings, using G.M.A.W. equipment, G.T.A.W., S.M.A.W. or oxyacetylene. Repairs parts. Performs flame-cutting operations and grinding.
  2. Lays out metal stock, sets up and assembles parts using jigs and fixtures. Sets up and operates sheet metal fabrication and forming machine, to produce parts in accordance with specifications.
  3. Must keep current certification as it pertains to welding operations.
  4. Responsible to select, cut, thread, bend and install piping, fittings, aperture fixtures, valves, gauges, meters, etc. in accordance with requirements and standard practices.
  5. Possesses knowledge of all processes and equipment to advise and assist employees in assembling, testing, and troubleshooting machinery. Organizes work to provide for optimal production efficiencies.
  6. Coordinates with Engineering to ensure Engineering Change Requests are submitted.
  7. Ensures that Engineering Change Notices are processed and assembled.
  8. Completes final inspection checklist and inspects equipment for quality. Assists Technical Service with in-house testing of machinery.
  9. Responsible to meet ISO quality standards which require individuals to take responsibility for their own quality, verify their work is correct and then affix their signature to the appropriate documentation, (i.e., drawing, checklist, etc.).

Completion of a vocational diploma in welding, or equivalent training, and/or two years experience. Requires the knowledge of welding and cutting equipment in the Fabrication Department in accordance with specifications from blueprints. Previous pipe welding experience is preferred. Must possess skills in G.T.A.W., and be willing to complete the qualification process. Must demonstrate proficiency in pipe welding with G.T.A.W.
