Sr. Advanced Systems Engineer

Description:
A Sr. Advanced Systems Engineer job in Bloomington, MN is currently available through Belcan. In this role, you will be responsible for leading analysis, design, development, and testing of signal processing systems. You will also lead algorithm development, profiling and porting, lead functional analysis, performance analysis, detail trade studies, systems integration and test (verification), validation of system, subsystem, or system elements with little to no supervision. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related specialized area or field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Due to the nature of the work performed in this facility, US citizenship is required.

Sr. Advanced Systems Engineer Job duties:

* Lead formulating operational concepts; performing mission, functional, cost-benefit, and risk analysis; selecting systems architecture; and preparing specifications for companies' operating systems to ensure designs meet applicable specifications.
* Synthesize solutions to meet customer expectations and technical performance while staying within schedule and cost constraints.
* Research and analyze data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
* Perform or lead the development of technical strategies and teaming strategies on multiple projects.
* Lead small technical proposals and contributes to medium sized proposals.

Qualifications:

* Substantial experience specifically in Radar Signal Processing (e.g. design requirements for radar systems, tactical or simulation algorithm prototyping or implementation).
* Strong knowledge of radar signal processing and analysis.
* Proficient with MATLAB and C/C++ programming languages.
* RF background with a working knowledge of electronic scanned antennas, receivers, exciters, and digital signal processing.
* Knowledge of hardware and software integration.
