Description:

This GN&C engineer position is with our Historic Skunk Works in Palmdale, California.

This is a technical position performing complex guidance and control design and analysis for precision guided munition systems. Job responsibilities include GNC System design, analysis, modeling, and simulation.

Apply knowledge of guidance, navigation, and control theory to develop optimum trajectory guidance laws.

Develop autopilot control laws (modern and classical). Develop guidance algorithms and conduct flight system performance analysis including nonlinear modeling, digital control, and system effectiveness analysis.

Apply digital signal processing techniques and navigation system error analysis to verify sensor and filter performance.

Perform post flight reconstruction and analysis.

Develop, modify, and maintain software tools. Perform research and prepare presentations and reports.

Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory:

Current SECRET and ability to obtain a SAP/SAR clearance

MATLAB/Simulink

Master's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or Applied Mathematics or Applied Physics 7+ years of experience in Guidance, Navigation or Controls theory and analysis.

Desired:

Demonstrated track record developing advanced autopilots, guidance laws and Kalman Filtering.
