Electro Mechanical Engineers - Melbourne, FL

Description:
STS AeroStaff Services is currently hiring Electro Mechanical Engineers for open positions in Melbourne, Florida.

Note: All candidates must have had secret security clearance in the last five years.

Job Summary:

Applies electrical, electronic and mechanical principles to components and systems, including assembly, analysis, and documentation of results; construction of developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components; and quality testing. Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems.

Job Duties & Qualifications:

• Electro-Mechanical Engineer (Anti-Ice):
o Primary responsibility includes cognizant engineering of an electronic controller, details of which include requirements maturation, aircraft/LRU integration, and supplier design/verification oversight
o Control wiring interfaces, junction box, control panel and power panel design tasks using SAE AS 50881 and proven commercial practices
o Hardware/software knowledge, knowledge of MIL-STD-1553 and power, military aircraft experience is required
o Candidate must have experience with development of procurement specifications and supplier interface
o Knowledge of anti-ice controllers is a benefit
o Candidate shall be able to work both independently and as part of a larger multi-disciplined team
o Must have excellent communication skills and possess both a desire and ability to interface effectively with people
• Electro-Mechanical Engineer (Lighting):
o Primary responsibility includes cognizant engineering of an aircraft lighting system, details of which include requirements maturation, aircraft/LRU integration, and supplier design/verification oversight
o Control wiring interfaces, junction box, control panel and power panel design tasks using SAE AS 50881 and proven commercial practices
o Hardware/software knowledge, knowledge of various aircraft bus architectures (RS-485, RS-232, MIL-STD-1553) and power, military aircraft experience is required
o Candidate must have experience with development of procurement specifications and supplier interface
o Knowledge of aircraft lighting systems/integration is a benefit
o Candidate shall be able to work both independently and as part of a larger multi-disciplined team
o Must have excellent communication skills and possess both a desire and ability to interface effectively with people
• Electro-Mechanical Engineer (Cables):
o Responsibilities to include the development, integration and documentation of electrical cable designs of air vehicle systems
o Develop electrical wiring designs of a functional system including the selection of aircraft-type electro-mechanical components such as connectors, relays, switches, circuit breakers, terminal junctions systems, etc.
o Designs to be accomplished utilizing the HarnesSys wiring tool and TeamCenter
o Create preliminary block diagrams, system wiring diagrams and detailed cable assembly “Product Definition Packages” (PDPs) using SAE AS 50881 and proven commercial practices
o Facilitation of design reviews with key stakeholders to ensure designs meet requirements
o Candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously, and comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
• Electro-Mechanical Engineer (Lines Routing):
o Position requires extensive inter-departmental coordination with other vehicle system departments including structures, crew & equipment, ECS, maintenance and manufacturing operations teams
o Requires knowledge of aircraft-type electro-mechanical components such as connectors, relays, switches, circuit breakers, terminal junctions systems, etc.
o Proficiency in the design of support brackets and the ability to prepare detailed “Product Definition Packages” (PDPs) utilizing NX or similar 3D CAD software is required
o Proficiency in 3d cable routing is a required
o Candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously, and comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
• Level 2: 2 Years’ with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years’ with Masters
• Level 3: 5 Years’ with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years’ with Masters; 0 Years’ with PhD
• Must have an active DoD Secret clearance
