The candidate will be responsible for layout and detail modeling of aircraft structure, structural assemblies, layouts and detail drawings using CATIA V5 and CADDAM, participating in trade studies, creating and maintaining interface control drawings, and coordination with Integrated Product Teams.

The engineering candidate will be required to coordinate across many functional areas and Aero sites, including Stress/DADT, Quality Assurance, Planning, Functional Test, Structures and Systems Design groups, Safety, Materials and Processes and Flight Sciences. Chosen candidate will work closely with the production floor, support process improvements, incorporate best practices into daily operations, and coordinate lessons learned and corrective action.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Electrical Design Engineer / Liaison job duties:
* Work hands on with customers to identify work and deliverables, coordinate and project manage work to and from the Belcan Design Centers, deliver and present results, etc.

Flight Test Instrumentation Technologist

Description:
PDS Tech, Inc is seeking a Flight Test Instrumentation Technologist for a direct position in Moses Lake, WA.
Summary

As part of a multicultural team, you will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and supporting testing of hardware for flight testing of aircraft. Working from engineering instructions, procedures and drawings with limited guidance, fabricate, install, check-out, calibrate, diagnose, and troubleshoot instrumentation data acquisition systems and sensors. This position will require planning, building and terminating various cable harnesses required in the instrumentation system and significant attention to detail to support safe testing.
 
Responsibilities
  • Assembly of components to aerospace standards working from blueprints, engineering orders, schematics, repair manuals and other technical documents
  • Fabrication of support brackets and sheet metal parts
  • Termination and installation of wire harnesses and tubing
  • Work with engineers to review design concepts and provide feedback for ease of assembly
  • Review, edit and follow work instructions for installation tasks
  • Plan, communicate and execute installation steps for complex mechanical installations
  • Work safely in aircraft environment

Required:
  • Associates or 2 year technical degree along with a minimum of 1 year of flight test operations experience

Education Requirement: High school graduate or equivalent plus an Associate's degree in the field of design and drafting. Metrology Specialist

Description:
Metrology Specialist with experience in setup, build, and inspection of large tools and assembly structures. This role is for a hands-on person with great versatility with regard to building and assembling large precision structures. The first task of this role will be to execute the installation and setup of new production fixtures, tooling, and equipment in a new production facility. The specialist in this position will support the production tooling and equipment design and installation in order to create an efficient, organized, and lean factory. Experience in the fabrication design of electrical wiring, processes, and tasks.
Follows documented processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design and manufacturing of wire harness bundles.
Investigates moderately-complex manufacturing process or engineering related issues, and develops solutions to problems
Communicate and facilitate the implementation of 2D and 3D Wire. Harness physical design and installation between internal and external customers.
Focal for the common change process and engineering work statement definition.
Monitors and provides the status of wire installation activities at the airplane level.
Provide Major/Minor determination for change classification as a Design Approval Engineer (DAE).
Regular, predictable attendance is required.
Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of health, safety, and environmental program and culture.
Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
6+ years’ experience in an engineering classification.
3 years of CAD design.
5 years of Electrical/Mechanical design or installation.
3 years of Aerospace industry (preferred).

Knowledge/Skills:
Exercises broad latitude in determining technical solutions.
Is considered an expert in engineering principles, theories, technologies, and concepts in the assigned discipline.
Working knowledge of configuration management.
Understanding of product lifecycle management.
Knowledge of Fabrication/Manufacturing processes for applicable designs.
Capability to integrate overall System/Airframe designs.
Understanding of design requirements flow, validation, and compliance verification.
Able to understand technical data.
Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD design (e.g. CATIA, AutoCAD, Pro-Engineer).
Knowledge of MS Office computer applications; and Microsoft Word
