Materials Engineer - Metals / Nonmetallics

Location: Windsor Locks, CT
Pay Rate: $65/hr
Duration: 12 month W2 contract
Shift: First
**MUST be a U.S. CITIZEN; NO DUAL CITIZENSHIP**
**NO RELOCATION COMPENSATION**

Description:
Manage a high complexity or multiple projects to perform analysis and characterization of metallic and non-metallic materials, and processing techniques in order to meet the requirements for the procurement, design, or operation of product; perform analysis and characterization of advanced materials. Additional responsibilities may include leading failure analyses, mechanical testing, corrosion studies, tribological evaluations, and environmental compatibility assessments.

Additional Job Details:
Review engineering drawings for in-house and supplier designs for compliance with requirements. Familiarity with NASA materials requirements is a plus. Looking for 5-10 years of experience.
