Summary

The Flight Control Law Design Engineer is responsible for design, analysis, and verification of aerospace systems. The Flight Control Law Design Engineer applies industry standard techniques in support of aircraft / spacecraft design & modification programs, develops methods & procedures for aircraft / spacecraft flight control law design and analysis, & supports aircraft /spacecraft flight test programs.

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Decompose aircraft mission to establish flight control system and flying qualities design criteria
• Develop control architectures; design system gains and dynamics to achieve design criteria; and analyze flight control system stability, robustness, and handling qualities.
• Develop handling qualities test plans, evaluation tasks, and execute piloted simulation tests, evaluate test results, and document results.
• Prepare and execute flight testing for aircraft / spacecraft performance and handling qualities
• Understand, plan, and execute technical activities in accordance with SNC policies, procedures, and work instructions and specific Customer requirements
• Originate specifications, control documents, verification and validation plans, procedures, reports, or other documentation in support of design and development activities
• Prepare material for, and conduct, periodic design reviews
• Execute engineering design and development activities consistent with Customer quality, cost, and schedule requirements
