Development Engineer - Android/Linux Application

Description:
Morson International is currently recruiting for a Development Engineer for a global organization specializing in biometric identity solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Development Engineer to further their career and experience in the Biometric technology field with a large international company.
Job Description:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in imaging software development in both Android and Linux system.
• We would like someone to join our team who is a strong verbal and written communicator, coachable, great technical troubleshooter and able to work multi-tasking and handle workloads under time constraints.
• As a Mobile Android/Linux Application Development Engineer for the Biometric R&D hardware team located in Pasadena, you will be a part of developing next generation biometrics hardware devices, including biometrics capture devices for fingerprint, palm print, facial and iris. You will be joining a collaborative environment focused on innovation and development of disruptive core technologies that secure the digital lives of millions of people.
• Conduct the research and development in the areas of biometrics mobile devices for biometrics identity information capture and search transaction.
• Responsible for designing and implementing the applications for biometrics hardware systems to achieve highest image quality requirement, form factor limitation, reliability requirement.
• Work with image processing specialists to design and implement the imaging system considering background removal, contrast enhancing, image rescaling in order to achieve the required image quality.
• Work with other firmware, software, optical, mechanical and industrial design engineers to formulate solutions to meet all final product requirements.
• Support products to internal and external customers for knowledge transfer, bug fixing, continuous evolution, as well as life cycle product management.
Skills:
• 3+ years of experiences
• Android applications, Embedded Linux software application development experiences.
• Working experiences using C, C++/C#, JAVA, Javascripts
• Xamarin platform development
• Service-oriented programming (SOA)
• Security software programing using SSL, TLS,
• Programming experiences on ARM processor and Digital Signal processor platform.
Desirable Skills:
• Security software and hardware experiences using PKI, AES/DES/SHA protocols
• Communication protocols such as TCP/UDP/IP, UART, SPI, I2C
• Peripheral device programming, USB, GPIO, Timers, Camera interface
• Apple iOS application (XCode) development
