Duties and Responsibilities
Provides Tier II and Tier III technical support to MODEC staff (Houston and remote sites) by resolving questions and problems relating to information systems hardware and software, network devices, cabling, workstation, peripherals, and electronic mail. Determines root cause for problems and resolves in an efficient and timely manner to minimize downtime, optimize efficiency and ensure customer satisfaction.

Provides Tertiary 24 hours /after hours user hardware/software support.
Solves general network problems related to PC hardware and cabling as well as software problems.
Maximizes the productivity of users by providing training and expanding knowledge of software and its capabilities.
Diagnoses and repairs the user workstations.
Provides Tier I network data backup support; ensures that the network data is backed up daily and maintains the supplies necessary to ensure that backups are in place in case of a catastrophic failure of the system.
Provides periodic Tier I data restoration as needed by users.
Installs, tests and maintains software upgrades and new software packages.
Assists internal departments with multi-media (including video) presentations and training and special requirements.
May reconfigure workstations and network cabling.
Performs special projects for MODEC and MODEC clients.
Familiarity with and operation of ITSM tools

5.0 ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:







What are the minimum qualifications an employee must have in order to perform the duties of the position? (I.e. educational requirements, licenses, certification, work experience, training etc.)

High school plus additional specialized courses. Related certification preferred. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Three to five years related experience and excellent hardware and software skills including supporting MS O/S including Windows family to Windows 10, MAC OS, Office 2010 and 2016, IE, Chrome, FireFox, Key Management Servers, Exchange, Outlook, System Center Configuration Manager, FlexLM, Directory and Resource Administration (DRA), Cisco Ironport and other MODEC standard software.

Knowledge of Ethernet wiring, basic network configuration and networking concepts.

Experience programming manufacturing machines (CNC, ladder, object-oriented programming).

Experience working with hands/hand tools to build and repair mechanical and electrical devices for machine troubleshooting and repair.

Fanuc CNC experience a plus.

Description:

Nesco Resource along with a client of ours in Scottsdale AZ is looking for an Electrical Engineer to focus on mixed signal hardware. You will be responsible for the design of equipment from the initial circuit and mechanical concepts through release to manufacturing. This position ensures that designs meet product specifications, as well as R&D design standards, and provides technical support on products already in production. The individual who "gets the gig” will work independently, with little supervision and have the ability to take a lead role on complex projects that require multiple engineers.



 



About the Job:



§ Design, analyze, construct and evaluate electronic audio circuits, ensuring that all design standards and product requirements are maintained.



§ Devise solutions to technical problems that arise in products in development and production, including safety and EMC compliance. Create engineering change notices as necessary.



§ Use tools such as PCB layout software, schematic capture software, circuit simulation software, etc.to create and improve product designs.



§ Work with project managers to define project schedules for hardware tasks. Keep project tasks on schedule and help find solutions to mitigate unexpected delays.



§ Work with product development team to integrate digital elements with other parts of the product design.



 



What you Need:



§ BSEE/BSET or equivalent is required.



§ Significant experience in related electronics design. Typically, 5+ years is required, but experience level can vary, depending on relevancy of experience.



§ Advanced design, analysis, and debugging skills sufficient to design electronic circuits for audio products.



§ Proficiency with analog audio design, including discrete and op-amp circuits. Must be familiar with best design practices for low noise and high-quality audio.
