Senior Maintenance Technician

Description:
Title: Senior Maintenance Technician
Location: Sylmar, CA
Duration: 12 Months

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the Senior Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment.

Primary Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot equipment problems & perform root cause analysis
• Performs repairs on manufacturing equipment.
• Must have good mechanical & electrical comprehension, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. up to five times daily, occasionally moving much heavier items (i.e. 175 lbs with moving equipment).
• Performs scheduled maintenance on manufacturing equipment (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually)
• May perform other maintenance & repair tasks on manufacturing tooling, equipment, & facilities
• May support facility, environmental, & safety requirements
• Will be actively involved in the implementation & sustaining of TPM & SMED
• Develop & maintain critical spare parts inventory
• Be able to enter & retrieve maintenance data in database
• Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above
• Understand and live by clients ethics and business conduct policies

Qualifications:
• Employee must be able to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
• Have an understanding of and follow safe work practices.
• Good communication skills and ability to get along well with others is essential.
• Have familiarity with PC running Windows & maintenance software

Education Requirements:
• High school education or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience

**Additional Information**:
• Candidates must have good working knowledge and experience with various CNC, Lathes, Mills and Injection Molding machines and how they operate.
• Candidates must have a basic understanding of machining principles.
• Candidates must have experience troubleshooting and know how to troubleshoot issues with various manufacturing equipment used such as CNC, Mills and Injection Molding machines.
