Manufacturing Engineer
Torrance, CA
6+ month contract


The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work on high profile programs such as F-35, B-1, F-18, rotorcraft, and F-16 platforms.



The ideal candidate will:
-Assure compatibility of engineering drawings and specifications with manufacturing and fabrication capabilities by reviewing drawings and making suggestions for changes and revisions to enhance producibility.
-Coordinate with various departments and team members to assure the most effective design and use of manufacturing facilities and processes.
-Establish standard times for setup and run of each operation on assigned parts, and evaluating existing cycle times looking for possibilities for increased efficiency.
-Support in conducting studies directed towards more efficient manufacturing of parts. Includes recommendations for changes in equipment, processes, methods, materials and designs.
-Work with our client's suppliers to coordinate operation sheets containing outside and inside operations. Assist suppliers in resolution of problems related to the manufacture of Moog parts.
-Support the fabrication of the most complex machined parts and sub-assemblies by providing timely and accurate NIC programs and operation sheets.



Required:


-Experience in aerospace systems and/or high performance control systems, including a minimum of 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience – preferably with at least 1 year managing projects
-Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science Degree in a Technical Field – preferably Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
