Electro-Magnetic Effects Engineer

Description:
• As Electro-Magnetic Effects (EME) Engineer you will report directly to the Vice President of Systems Engineering / Aircraft level Integration Team (ALIT) and will be responsible for defining the technical requirements relating to all aspects of EME.

On any given day you might:
• Perform analysis and design relating to effects of lightning (direct and indirect), surface charging, grounding, structural bonding, circuit isolation, transfer impedance, shielding effectiveness, effects of radiated/conducted emissions and susceptibility, near field/far field electric fields, corona, P-static, etc.
• Provide aircraft level EME guidance
• Establish requirements, processes and methodologies (EMC, EMI, HIRF, LSP, G&B, RF, etc)
• System design and architecture analysis
• Interact directly with suppliers
• Define traceability to the FARs
• Perform and teach electromagnetic compatibility design and analysis
• Perform computational electromagnetics calculations and assessments
• Validate and verify of requirements
• Provide guidance for System test and certification
• Report Status
• Provide subject-matter expert level guidance on both practical and theoretical aspects of the EME systems design
• Provide support for engineering, certification, and flight test departments from concept to product certification
• Foster a culture that inspires high levels of performance and employee retention
• Provide EME guidance to the various Sub-systems and Structures IPTs in support of their development and certification

We're looking for someone who has:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
• 5+ years of experience within the EME discipline.
• EME systems design and integration experience
• Aircraft development experience
• Experience Developing EME processes, guidelines and methodologies to support the design of the Aerion AS2
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of industry guidelines and documents (MIL-STD-285, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, SAE ARP5412, SAE ARP5414, AC 20-53A, AC 20-107, DO-160, MIL-STD-1541, MIL-STD-1757, etc)
