Composite Structural Design Engineer Openings

Description:
Design and configuration of composite primary aircraft structure.
Experience during preliminary/conceptual design phase required.
Support of subsystems integration and packaging into primary structure.
Strong knowledge and understanding of latest structural design, as well as manufacturing trends in the Aerospace industry.
Analyze the applicability of new and emerging technologies and advanced techniques.
Serve as a design focal between the program and Tier 1 suppliers.
Provide technical support in design and development of the preliminary structures layout that meets weight, cost, manufacture-ability and certification requirements.
Support new business development, trade studies and proposal activities.
Support technical review of supplier capabilities and progress.

Requirements:
Must be a US or Canadian citizen, a US permanent resident or someone who otherwise meets the requirements of a US Person under EAR part 772.
Cannot be party of any restrictive covenant, non-compete, non-solicitation, or non-disclosure / confidentiality agreement with current or any former employer that would prevent you from fully performing the duties of the position.
Must have a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or similarly related area.
8+ years of experience in performing design of large aerospace structures.
Strong composite structural design background.
Proficiency with CATIA V5 and Teamcenter PLM is preferred.
Knowledge of the conceptual and preliminary design phases of aircraft development is strongly preferred.
Thorough understanding of the structural design requirements for Part 25 certification is preferred.
Highly self-motivated with a strong bias for action, and excellent problem-solving skills across multi-disciplinary skill sets.
