Chief Design Engineers (Aircraft Engines) - China

Description:
Leading Chinese civil aerospace engine development organization are seeking Chief Design Engineers specializing within the technical areas of Engine Compression Systems OR Low Emission Combustion Systems. Responsibilities include:

* Formulate technology development of civil aircraft engine turbine (for Compression role this includes fan, booster and high pressure compressor)
* Play key role in defining design and systems design processes and defining test & verification platform for engine test/approval
* Provide high-level technical consultancy in field of compression systems OR low emission systems for aircraft engine design
* Mentoring and training of staff and building development teams

For these roles you will have at least 10 years within the field of aircraft turbofan engine development and have an in-depth knowledge of some of the following: turbine aerodynamics, cooling, mechanical and structure theory; compression systems design theory; and aircraft engine test/validation. In addition experience in project and team management would be preferred.

Ideally the client is looking to hire someone on a fixed-term employment basis working directly for the Chinese client in Shanghai, with initial durations of between 2 and 5 years available (renewable). In addition to a generous salary the remuneration package includes accommodation (or allowances), home leave and local travel allowances, healthcare provision and other benefits.


Consideration will also be given to those who are looking to work on an hourly/daily paid consultancy basis and the client can be flexible on the hours of work in China when operating on this basis.
