Description:

Required Skills & Experience

Seeking a lead Electrical Hardware Design Engineer. The individual selected for this position will be a proven leader with diverse technical capabilities and demonstrated “hands-on” electrical engineering expertise. Manufacturing Research Engineer

Description:

Seeking an electronic/photonic/manufacturing device engineer or research scientist to provide support to a program focusing on printing techniques for electronic and photonic device fabrication. The selected candidate will use additive manufacturing and conventional cleanroom processing techniques to fabricate and design electronic and RF components for a variety of applications such as basic electronic controls, RF antennas, photonics, etc. Additive manufacturing refers to inkjet printing, aerosol jet printing, extrusion printing (such as Nscrypt), and 3D printing such as polyjet or thermoplastics; conventional cleanroom processing techniques refers to photolithography for electronic device fabrication and its associated characterization. Expertise is not expected in all of these areas, but some familiarity is needed. Duties will include designing experiments to characterize printer performance, identifying appropriate materials to deposit either purchased commercially or manufactured in-house, and some device design and characterization of manufactured devices.     Test Engineer

    Description:
    Seeking an experienced test engineer to support testing of mechanical systems and avionics components, assemblies, and integrated systems. The main tasks of this role are to define test requirements with internal customers, write test plans, design test stands and execute tests under the direction of the Engineering lead and/or Manager. Engineers in this position are expected to have knowledge of industry standard test practices and methods as well as engineering skills in design and analysis to required to develop custom tests.


    Your Mission
    Design tests plans and equipment for validation of complex mechanical or structural components and systems.
    Write test plans and procedures to define and support execution of tests.
    Interface with internal customers on integrated program teams to establish and verify specific test requirements.
    Work with support teams and vendors to procure, manufacture and assemble test articles and test stand hardware and equipment.
    Analyze test data to verify test requirements and write test reports to document test results.
    Interface with external test laboratories to facilitate testing for design and analysis teams.
    Participate in the test engineering review, approval and release process.
    Participate in the continuous improvement of testing practices, including test processes, lab procedures and lab technology implementation.

    What you bring
    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with a concentration in a relevant Engineering discipline.
    4-8 years’ or more experience in aerospace with an emphasis on testing or equivalent laboratory test engineering experience
    CAD modelling experience – Experience with Catia V5 preferred
    Experience with simulation and finite element analysis preferred – NASTRAN, Femap
    Experience with DO-160 environmental test standards for mechanical systems
    Experience with the design of flight vehicles or vehicle systems to a set of requirements or standards such as CFR 14, Part 400, Part 23 and 25, military or NASA are highly desired
    Focus on safety and reliability in testing.
    Results oriented approach to completing test activities successfully.

    Strong team player.
