Stress Engineer - Southeast USA

Description:
Aerospace stress engineer with experience in the analysis, certification, and testing of composite and metallic primary structures. Aircraft wing experience required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Will write certification stress reports and structural test plans
Will perform analyses utilizing classic hand analysis including Bruhn, Peery, Roark, ESDU methods as well as FEA
Explains and presents stress and structural analysis and assumptions in a rational and logical manner
Provides recommendations and status updates to management

Qualifications
BS degree in either Mechanical or Aerospace engineering
5 or more years of experience serving as a stress engineer for an aerospace company
Experience with 3 D modeling software including Catia V5 required
Experience with programming languages including Python, VB, and MATLAB required
Strong abilities in Finite Element Analysis (NASTRAN, ABAQUS) required
