Description:
Job Title: Diesel Technician
Location: Portland, OR. 97217
Duration: 12 + Months
Description:
• World renowned heavy truck manufacturer is currently seeking Diesel Technician with at least 1 to 3 years’ Diesel Truck, Heavy Equipment and/or Automotive shop experience. Work with mechanical and electrical engineers that are involved in developing the next generation of diesel trucks.
• Requires the ability to quickly troubleshoot, diagnose problems and make the necessary repairs in a timely and efficient manner. Come up with alternative installation methods of repaired items when needed.
• Must be a self-starter, team player and be able to work without direct supervision. Must have own tools, a valid driver’s license, the ability to get commercial driver’s license if needed, and the ability to do some heavy lifting from time to time.

Qualifications
• Team Player: Works well as a member of a group
• Self-Starter: Inspired to perform without outside help
• Documentation: Ability to write detailed reports on your repairs and findings
• Scheduled Projects: Meet deadlines for vehicle repairs

Experience
• Required: 1 to 3 years’ Truck, Heavy Equipment and/or Automotive shop experience. Ability to quickly troubleshoot, diagnose problems and make the necessary repairs in a timely and efficient manner
• Preferred: Preferred: Licenses & Certifications

Education
• Preferred: Associates or better
• Technical/other training or better.

Vehicle Licenses
• Required: Driver License
• Preferred: Commercial Driver License
