Documentation Control Specialist (Engineering/Defense)

Documentation Control Specialist

The Documentation Control Specialist ensures the processing of documentation in compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements. This position is involved in developing and reviewing various engineering technical documents and reports.


Documentation Control Specialist Responsibilities:

Completes tasks and responsibilities as Engineering Process Checker for the Engineering Change Order (ECO) program

Maintain documents and validate engineering enterprise resource planning (ERP) records 

Create engineering project folders and perform technical editing with drawings, weld matrix, shipping configuration list, bills of materials, and test procedures

Specialize in large data analysis resulting in data graphs and tables

Train employees on documentation quality, integrity, and proper file storage

 
Documentation Control Specialist Requirements:

Highschool diploma or GED

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and communicate with technical users 

Familiar with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software programs

Preferred:

Post-secondary education in English, Technical Writing, or technical discipline

Experience in document management, technical writing, and ISO 9001 environment
