Civil Design Engineer- Job ID 55807

Description:
We have an Excellent career opportunity for a Civil Design Engineer (Transportation) to join a leading Company located in the West Palm Beach, FL, area.

This position will offer an engineer the opportunity to take responsibility for exciting projects and to grow proficient in designing and preparing plans for projects that improve the communities in which we work and live.

Responsibilities:
Work with the Engineer of Record to produce plans, quantity/cost estimates, specifications, and reports
Analyze and design various roadway projects according to engineering standards and specifications
Plan, scheduled, conducted, and coordinated detailed design phases of engineering projects
Assist project support staff (student interns and CADD technicians) with efficient plans for production
Coordinate with team members and clients, including the FDOT
Assist in obtaining, negotiating, and delivering projects successfully in the public-sector transportation market
Prepare design reports and proposals

Basic Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum two years of technical experience in transportation design
Engineering Intern (EI) certification

Desired Qualifications:
FDOT experience preferred
Experience with MicroStation and Bentley OpenRoads Designer - preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Suite of tools (Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively document design decisions and calculations
Positive, energetic, and cooperative attitude with clients and internal staff
