Job Description Summary
UTAS is seeking an Electrical Engineer with product development experience, to design and qualify electronic controllers for the private and commercial aerospace markets. This entails designing reliable, low cost electronic products which include either AC or DC power switching, and may include temperature sensor monitoring, fault monitoring, and one of several related industry serial communications busses. The ideal candidate will have strong communications skills and will exhibit competencies in: creative problem solving, bias for action, customer focus, drive for results, and self-development.
Basic Qualifications
Preferred experiences include:
- Designing electronics to aerospace or other regulatory specifications.
- Designing test fixtures for development and production use.
- Product qualification testing to meet RTCA DO-160 or similar customer or military requirements.
- Experience designing equipment that meets both a customer’s specifications as well as regulatory requirements, as well as substantiating the design through test and analysis, while maintaining excellent documentation throughout the process.

Minimum requirements: BS degree and 8 years’ experience, or MS and 5 years’. U.S. Citizen
