Lab Technician, Senior Specialist

Description:
• Provides testing services in support of the product development and qualification process.

Essential Functions:
• Assemble and test hydraulic components, using instructions provided, as directed.
• Construct test circuits using written instructions and/or diagrams/drawings as directed.
• Setup instrumentation and collect data as needed.
• Review and comment on Engineering Test Procedures prior to document release.
• Document test results per Test Procedures, Engineering procedures, or written instructions in accordance with Engineering Procedures.
• Work with Engineers, Lab Engineers, and Lab Management to investigate performance/design issues, analyze data, and troubleshoot assembly/test processes uncovered during component testing.
• Create programs utilizing required software for simple to moderate test requirements.
• Cleanliness of test lab to include 5S activities.
• The ability to work flexible hours.
• Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive outlook.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements.
• Other duties as assigned to ensure customer needs are met.

Competencies:
• Read, understand, and effectively write English.
• Effective verbal communications in English with the ability to explain complex principles in common language.
• Ability to manipulate small parts.
• Ability to read intricate, small, and detailed writing with or without corrective lenses.
• Ability to work independently.
• Perform basic math (add, subtract, multiple, and divide) and elevated math (trigonometry and geometry).
• Perform basic computer skills, such as open and save files along with basic data entry along with preliminary data acquisition programming skills (i.e LabView).
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve electronic/technical/mechanical/electrical problems.
• Ability to read, understand and create drawings and schematics.
