Calibration Technicians - Coatesville, PA

Description:
STS AeroStaff Services is currently hiring Calibration Technicians for open positions in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.

Job Duties:

• Recall calibrated tooling periodically in accordance with client’s master calibration schedule
• Send complex calibrated tooling out to a calibration vendor for periodic inspection/maintenance
• Perform simple calibrations in-house in accordance with client and NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) procedures
• Maintain certification documentation for each piece of client’s calibrated tooling
• Follow broad instructions and general methods to work from metrology procedures and standards, tool designs, engineering drawings, etc., to perform inspection and calibration duties
• Set up and operate a variety of precision gauges and instruments, and perform complex layouts, to inspect and calibrate tools to metrological standards
• Repair, adjust micrometers, height gauges, Vernier calipers
• Maintain close liaison with other departments to resolve metrology problems
• Troubleshoot/repair testing equipment; have a working knowledge of electricity, circuitry, and mechanical components
• Demonstrate knowledge of the technical standards for establishing calibration set out by the American Society of Testing and Materials

Qualifications:

• Candidate must demonstrate excellent math skills (emphasis on trigonometry and geometry) and be able to analyze numerical data
• Candidate must demonstrate computer literacy; with emphasis on Microsoft Access and Excel for data management
• Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Formal education in Calibration Technology; or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Calibration Technician certification Required
• Demonstrated aerospace metrology experience or Military calibration experience required
