Air Vehicle Design Engineer

Description:
Seeking an Aircraft Design Engineer for our client in Kansas! The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of 3D modeling and drafting using CATIA V5 file based/Enovia and/or CATIA V6/Enovia. If you think you've got it what takes then don't hesitate to send us your resume!

The ideal candidate for this position will perform the following tasks:
* Incorporate aircraft design requirements utilizing CATIA software with an emphasis on 3D modeling and drafting
* CATIA 3D model development in support of detail, assembly and installation layouts
* Collaboration with various technical disciplines, such as Program Management, Manufacturing, Tooling, Structural Integrity, and Aerodynamics
* Support transition to production and prototype aircraft assembly, which includes coordination with Experimental Engineering to support design interpretation and occasionally investigate and respond to problems in manufacturability
* Completes either new design or modifies existing design (layouts, detail parts, assemblies, installation drawings) ensuring compliance with requirements.
* Activities will include involvement in Military applications
* Responsible for provisioning for and integration of aircraft subsystems such as Mechanical Systems, Propulsion System, Electrical/Avionics Systems, and Interiors
* Conduct trade studies and make recommendations to determine feasibility of designing new equipment or modifying existing equipment

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, related degreed technical fields
* US Citizenship
* Extensive knowledge of 3D modeling and drafting using CATIA V5 file based/Enovia and/or CATIA V6/Enovia
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
* Experience in applying technical theories, troubleshooting techniques, and concepts related to aircraft design
