Qualifications:

Abrams Tank Mechanics

Description:
STS Technical Services is hiring Abrams Tank Mechanics in Killeen, Texas to work for one of our Fortune 500 clients.

In this role, you will work to repair Abrams tanks and troubleshoot all aspects of the engine, communication systems, parts/components. You will also work to provide input to program planning, schedules, and maintenance techniques of the Abrams fleet of vehicles and other traced/wheeled variants. This is a tremendous opportunity to work for a company that holds industry leading standards for defense and also is on the leading edge of an industry boom.

Contract Length: 6+ months

Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance checks and services on variations of the Abrams Tanks (M1A1ED, M1A2SEP V2) as well as familiar with the deprocessing and maintenance tasks on the variations of the Abrams Tanks (M1A1 ED, M1A2 SEP V2) vehicles for the Material Fielding Team (MFT) at Ft. Hood.
Perform troubleshooting specific faults, failures and deficiencies. Provide input to program planning, schedules, and maintenance techniques for the Abrams Fleet Vehicles and other tracked/wheeled vehicles
Read and interpret troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures and flow diagrams for systems, subsystems and components.
Maintain accountability of special tools, test equipment and property.
Required Experience:
1-plus years related experience in truck mechanics with emphasis on the Abrams tank
Must have overall understanding of customer contacts and relationships
Be able to work autonomously with government personnel.
Must be able to gain access to US Military Facilities or bases, including a NACI if required
Must be able to travel away for extended periods.
Efficient knowledge of Microsoft Applications
Required to work at heights, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, able to climb, kneel, stoop, bend and work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions
Ability to meet anthropometric size requirements to enter into a drivers station or enclosed military vehicle
Valid Drivers License is required with the ability to get a tank drivers license if required

Job Duties & Requirements:
A&P’s to perform hangar and line maintenance on mostly Boeing Commercial Aircraft
Kalitta’s own fleet consists of 747s, 767s and 777s
Mechanics do not need to be current or have an A&P, but they must have experience if they do not have a valid A&P
The job duties of an A&P mechanic vary from preventive maintenance to repairs
A mechanic makes routine inspections, documents inspections and repairs, performs scheduled maintenance and runs tests after making repairs or performing maintenance
Job duties may vary based on which part of the plane is being worked on
A mechanic working on the exterior of a plane may be fixing a broken wing, repairing paint or securing a door so it seals properly
An A&P mechanic inspects, services and repairs airplanes to ensure they’re operating correctly and safely
A mechanic is responsible for ensuring that airplanes get regular maintenance and that any problems are fixed correctly
Mechanics may work on different parts of an aircraft, such as the engine, landing gear, brakes and pumps
A mechanic working on the engine may be changing the oil, replacing belts or repairing a broken part

Machining Process Engineer job in Torrance, California is available at one of Belcan's top aerospace clients. As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for developing and improving machining manufacturing processes for a variety of components and complex assemblies for military grade heat exchangers. You will also oversee the transfer of many assemblies from current machining centers to new 4 and 5 axis machines.

Responsibilities
* Development of machining strategy to take design data and produce machined hardware
* Develop manufacturing plans for Mills/Lathes/Multi Axis Mills and Multi Axis Lathes/VTLs
* Oversee transfer of existing machining operations from current equipment to new machines
* Work with CNC programmer to develop new and improved programs
* Implement processes for part set up and measurements using Renishaw probing
* Design custom tools and fixtures as needed
* Develop set-up sheets
* Communicate with designers and machinists
* Design for manufacture feedback
* Make-buy decision support + machine time estimates
* Process improvement (both machining actual inputs and administrative process changes)
* Maintain configuration control on files and job records
* Safely working within an industrial environment
* Material sizing

Required
* This position requires a minimum of 6 years of experience as a process engineering in a machining environment
* Excellent blue print reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard
* Project management methodologies and experience
* Tools fixture design
* Set-up sheet creation
* 5 years of machining experience
* Use of Renishaw probes for adjusting orientation and measurement of parts
* Ability to program Renishaw probes into manufacturing cycles
* Design for manufacture experience

Description:
A Robot Programmer job in Torrance, California is available at one of Belcan's top aerospace clients. As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for developing programs and process document for a robot welding station for many complex assemblies for military grade heat exchangers.

Responsibilities
* Program, troubleshoot, debug, and optimize robotic welding in a multi-robot welding cell
* Support development of material handling requirements for assemblies being welded
* Work with weld engineering on welding process specifications
* Develop process documentation for robot operators to successfully utilize cell in a manufacturing environment
* Develop all safety plans and risks
* Process improvement (both machining actual inputs and administrative process changes)
* Maintain configuration control on files and job records
* Safely working within an industrial environment

Required

Description:
The Test Engineer is responsible for developing formal production tests for components, subassemblies, assemblies and systems. This includes writing formal Desktop Instructions (DI-), In-Process Test procedures (IPT), and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).
