Job Description:
Experienced Mass Properties Engineer to perform a variety of mass properties analysis tasks (weight, center-of-gravity, inertia) that include but are not limited to: 1) working with members of the F-35 Weight Management & Control Integrated Product Team (IPT) and other IPTs to support analysis of configuration changes; 2) performing analysis to determine the weigh, balance, and moment of inertia characteristics of detail parts and assemblies; 3) managing mass properties via LM Aeronautics’ data management system; and 4) analyzing trade study impacts to support configuration change decisions.

Comments for Suppliers:
Experience Calculating design changes for analysis
CATIA 5 experience required
Mass Properties experience / weight balance / inertia engineer / design analysis analyzing the weight and balance impact of design using CATIA
Most commonly will have Aeronautical Engineer Degree or Mechanical Engineering Degrees

Aviation/Aerospace experience required
Will accept experience in lieu of degree
