Manufacturing Engineer

Description:
Responsibilities
• Work fluidly in a highly cross-functional team environment involving manufacturing and product development teams, as well as supply chain specialists, other manufacturing engineers, and logistics and operations personnel.
• Support builds in an AS9100 regulated environment to assure critical features are controlled through the assembly/production process.
• Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design and develop processes, tooling, assembly fixtures and procedures.
• Support projects involving multiple departments and/or outside contract manufacturers.
• Develop and validate processes used in manufacturing.
• Assist and contribute to the build and troubleshoot of initial pre-production products in support of developing manufacturing processes and supporting build documents.
• Review and update existing manufacturing support processes and documentation.
• Support DMAIC manufacturing practices and 5S initiatives.
• Organize and analyze data sets that outline the systemic improvement opportunities.
• Support issue resolution for production and assembly including root cause investigation and corrective action.
• Able to read and interpret highly technical mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Electromechanical preferred) with 3+ years working experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be self-managed and committed to working in a fast-paced schedule driven environment.
• Hands-on experience required.
• Strong technical writing skills required.
• Understanding of analytical troubleshooting methodology.
• Professional and positive communication skills.
