Source Inspector

Description:
A Source Inspector job is available at Belcan. This is a part to full time contract role, with travel to suppliers local to Seattle. To be considered for this position, you will have experience with Microcircuits, Electrical, Optical, and PCB inspection. You will also be familiar with or certified in MIL-STD and IPC standards. In this role you will perform source inspections on microcircuits and electronic hardware.

Responsibilities:
* Perform source inspections
* Validate all required documentation has been completed and provided by supplier (per defined procedures/checklists)
* Validate supplier provides proof of all required certifications
* Validate supplier has provided all required test data
* Visually inspect part workmanship (e.g., burrs, edge breaks, handling damage, flux residue, etc.)
* Over-check customer critical features
* Report non-conformance

Source Inspector Requirements:
* HS Diploma, AS, or BS degree; source inspection certification desired
* 3+ years of experience with incoming, in-process, final, and first article inspection
* Electronics/microcircuits, PWB/PCB, and/or optical inspection experience required
* MIL STD 750, MIL STD 883, IPC-610, IPC-620 experience or certification desired
* Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and purchase orders (POs)
* Use of a high powered microscope
* Knowledge in using Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
* Must be able to professionally communicate with suppliers and customers
