FPGA Firmware Design Engineer (96)

Description:
*This is a full time, 5-6 month contract position located in Owego, NY*



We seek a hands-on FPGA Design Engineer to design electronic circuits. Design & Test of complex FPGA VHDL code using state-of-the-art FPGAs and the associated development tools. Understanding of complex digital design and test concepts as it pertains to FPGA VHDL development efforts. Ability to develop FPGA VHDL code using Altera and Xilinx development tools. Ability to execute VHDL code verification testing at the board and system levels. Candidate will specify device requirements, develop VHDL models and test benches, perform simulations, logic synthesis, device configuration, and next-level integration and test.



Required:
*9 years’ digital circuit firmware design of FPGAs using VDHL, System Verilog
*Familiarity with FPGA vendor tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Altera Quartus or Plan Ahead
*Experience with some combination of MatLab, Labview, C, C++
*Must be able to get a Secret Clearance upon starting, which requires applicants be US Citizens
*BSEE
