Custom Fabrication Estimator

Description:
An Estimator job in Rockwall, Texas is currently available through Belcan. This is a direct hire opportunity with one our manufacturing clients that specializes in electro-mechanical assembly, precision sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, welding, laser cutting, and powder coating. To be considered for position, you must have previous precision sheet metal experience with a good understanding of shop floor and processes.

Estimator Job duties:

* Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists.
* Calculate run times, provide material, equipment, and labor estimate for Sheet Metal.
* Understand the scope of work to bid after reading a SOW, project narrative, or RFP.
* Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and sub vendors.
* Translate User Needs into Design Input Requirements to comply with regulatory requirements and best-practice standards.
* Promotes the company's capabilities and expertise when dealing directly with key decision-makers in the owner or general contracting companies.
* Participates in pre-bid meetings and bid strategy meetings when requested.

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Five plus years' of electromechanical assembly estimating experience in a sheet metal fabrication manufacturing work environment.
* Knowledge with SolidWorks.
* Experience with an ERP System.
* Mathematical Skills: Must be able to use general business mathematics, algebra, and geometry to calculate loads and CFM requirements.
