Creo Design Engineer

Description:
Creo Design Engineer
Location: Seattle, WA. Other locations in CA and FL are available. This will start as a remote position.
Hourly Rate: $55.00 - $75.00
Duration: 6 months, possible extension
Benefits: Per Diem available, overtime possible, medical, dental, 401K

Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelors’ degree in an engineering field or equivalent field. MS is desired.
• 10 years minimum of related experience as technical Design Engineer in rocket propulsion hardware or equivalent (pressurized systems and/or high temperature systems) and experience as technical Designer using ProE/Creo CAD systems.
• Candidates must have significant modeling and drafting experience with Creo CAD software.
• Candidates must have strong GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) experience. GD&T experience should be summarized on the candidates resume.
• Windchill experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge in the design of bi-propellant rocket engines (high temperature combustion chambers, nozzles, injectors, valves, and other associated rocket engine hardware) is preferred.

Responsibilities:
• Design Engineer - Must be able to create or modify designs of mechanical components and assemblies supporting propulsion hardware operating at high temperatures & pressures and in corrosive environments.
• Design of mechanical hardware that supports developing and testing new products.
• Applies research to the planning design, development and testing of bi-propellant rocket combustion chambers, nozzles, injectors, valves, and other associated rocket engine hardware.
• Majority of work will be to develop and maintain component and assembly layouts, designs/CAD models, and drawings using Creo5 graphics system for liquid engine hardware.
• Activities: conceptual design creation, design layouts, GD&T application, tolerance analysis, systems design and integration, fabrication process identification, synthesis of higher-level requirements to component level requirements. Conduct trade studies and develop schedules, test plans, component specifications and procedures.
