Location: Warren, MI

Description:
Design Release Engineer.
Candidate with strong interest in product design and excellent communication skills is needed to work on vehicle seating systems on GM programs.
The engineer will be responsible for supporting technical and program interactions with the customer platform team on a vehicle program. The engineer should have a strong technical background along with good program management skills. The engineer should have good communication skills - written and verbal, ability to balance conflicting requirements and risk, and ability to travel to customer and supplier manufacturing plants. A hands-on individual with a strong work ethic is needed to support project deliverables. The engineer needs to have good analytical skills and work effectively with customers / suppliers and the seating development team.

A 4 year degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
Minimum 2 year Associate or Equivalent college diploma required.
Minimum 2 years prior work experience in automotive seating, interiors or in a product development role and or 1 year experience as a DRE in GM systems is required.
Some familiarity with CAD systems like Unigraphics and Catia an added plus.
