Description:
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Rate: $33.38/HR
Duration: 1 year contract
Shift: 1st Shift
Overtime: Possible

Job Description:
- Conduct design of Landing Gear and Systems components working within an integrated product development team reporting to the design or work package lead.


Responsibilities:
- Generate drawing and model design changes.
- Generate engineering bill of materials and parts lists for components and assemblies.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis considering fits/clearances, thermal effects, coatings and wear.
- Conduct design studies.
- Participate in design investigations due to in-service issues, test failures, and production problems.
- Work with other members of the IPT to ensure the product meets requirements (cost, producibility, customer, and regulatory, internal design standards).


Required:
- BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related Engineering degree.
- 4 years engineering related experience.
- Basic understanding of hydro-mechanical assembly principles and design methodologies.
- Proficient with CATIA V5 solid modeling, drafting, and Functional Tolerancing and Annotation.
- Working knowledge of MS programs (Word, Excel, and PPT).
- Must be US Citizen.


Preferred:
- Open-minded, pro-active, quick learning ability, and strong desire to learn.
- Basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
- Working knowledge of SmarTeam and/or TeamCenter PDM system.
