Air Data Systems Engineer

Description:
• Develop air data systems design, architecture and support product plan development, including qualification and certification plans
• Provide subject matter expert level technical leadership, mentoring and guidance on both practical and theoretical aspects of air data systems
• Define requirements for the air data systems to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements
• Research new air data concepts and technologies that fit the technology roadmap
• Provide validation and verification of air data systems requirements


We're looking for someone who has:
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering area, with a Master’s degree in a technical and/or management specialty preferred
• 10+ years of deep, hands-on experience in air data and avionics systems development, design and testing in a Military, Commercial, or business aircraft development program
• 8+ years of demonstrated experience specific to air data systems, air data technical principles and technologies, and managing system suppliers as the technical point of contact
• In-depth and current knowledge of Part 25 regulatory requirements, including air data specific certification requirements (e.g. RVSM)
• Experience and expertise in the development of commercial and/or high-end business jets strongly desired, including flight test experience
• Recent experience in developing air data, avionics and other aircraft systems, such as Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS), from concept through certification strongly desired
• Optical air data systems experience desired
• Demonstrated ability to understand & define requirements, generate architecture, and achieve compliance
