Aerospace Systems Engineer DOORS

Description:
*This is a full time, 1 year contract to hire position located in Sterling Heights, MI*

*Per diem split is available for out of the area applicants*



CSS Staffing is seeking a Systems Engineer to support requirements analysis, requirements development, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), cost, and risk assessments, trade studies, and document system design descriptions. The successful candidate will develop component level performance specification by managing requirements in IBM Rational DOORS; create requirements traceability in DOORS; develop and maintain requirements compliance and supporting artifacts; develop interface control diagrams (ICDs) between assigned sub-system, system and components; develop trade studies to drive design decisions and document trade study results. Will also coordinate SE activities with IPTs and Specialty Engineering POCs to help influence the design and provide systems engineering input to support program reviews.



Required Skills

*6 years of aerospace Systems Engineering experience.

*Requirements development using DOORS.

*Proven ability to manage size, weight, power and cost of system; Concept of Operations (CONOPS), cost, and risk assessments, trade studies, etc.

*Proven ability to manage system risk.

*Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering



Preferred Skills:

*Experience with military vehicle systems.

*Model based systems engineering experience, such as SysML experience

*Experience with Controller Area Network (CAN) Bus strategies and implementation
