Process Engineer (Data Migration for Manufacturing Work Instructions)

Description:
This Rome NY facility manufactures power transmission systems for both military and commercial aircraft utilizing manufacturing methods such as machining, welding, NDT inspection, painting, assembly, and testing.

This position requires the ability to migrate legacy manufacturing work instructions from Microsoft Excel into a new digital system called Solumina. During the migration, the candidate will be trained to develop an understanding of the existing manufacturing process to incorporate improvements based off known.

The estimated 1000 legacy work instructions exist in MS Excel which will require full conversion including images, set up details, data collections and hyperlinks to supporting documentation. An estimated 300 process plans are currently converted into Solumina which provide many examples and templates to reference and develop from.

The use other software systems will be required such as SAP, TeamCenter and Unigraphics (NX) in an effort to enhance the level of detail while converting into the new system. The candidate(s) will be working with one full time Manufacturing Engineer dedicated to this project for 1:1 support and direction.

This candidate must be self-motivated, thorough, provide quality instruction, and take pride in their work. Hands on work experience is a plus
