Mechanical Designer
Englewood, CO
12+ month contract

The position is expected to provide the highest level of creativity and energy to the new product development process. Responsible to support the Engineering Department and Project Engineer by providing mechanical design data in support of Program Directives

Min years of experience: 10 – 15 years experience

Degree Requirements: Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent

Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education & Experience:
•Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or design engineering/drafting technical school; and 10-15 years’ directly related experience with aircraft mechanical systems and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis on aircraft systems.
•Ability to Interpret and use aircraft manufacture’s maintenance manuals, equipment installation instructions, and wiring diagrams
•Knowledge of test equipment
•Understanding of FAA certification processes, aircraft operations, and electrical/communication and navigation systems

Skills:
•Good troubleshooting technique skills
•Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, ability to prioritize and multi-task and meet deadlines.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Computer Skills:
•Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
•Prior technical knowledge, training and experience in Solidworks, with a minimum designation of Associate.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
•FCC license and/or FAA repairman certificate preferred
