Job Title: Structural CAD Designer - BIM Engineer
Position Type: 12+ Months
Location: Cape Canaveral, FL


Job Description / Responsibilities:
• The Structural CAD Designer will prepare predominantly civil, structural and architectural detail drawings.
• Will work with Structural Engineers to produce drawings required to perform structural modifications to new and existing launch facilities.
• He/she will gather and organize information, perform research and prepare sketches and detailed drawings for facility modification contracts.
• He/she will perform field walk-downs and review and revise electronic CAD files from a variety of native drawing databases.
• This position requires knowledge of civil and structural design, drafting practices as well as a sound practical knowledge of engineering principles and industry standards.
• Candidate will be responsible for quality of design documents ensuring all are prepared & checked in accordance with applicable procedures.

Skills:
• The successful candidate should have at least (10) years of relevant experience building and/or modifying large industrial facilities. Also, he/she should have at least (10) years of recent Autodesk AutoCAD experience.
• 3D modeling and design experience in Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Revit Structure, Tekla Structures, or other Building Information Modeling (BIM) software is highly preferred.
