Senior Electrical Designer

Description:
Senior Electrical Designer

We are looking for hire a few Senior Electrical Designers to join our ever growing team. You will work on products and designs, as well as coordination of the scope and integration of work with internal and external stakeholders. Do you have strong organizational and teamwork skills? Proven problem-solving abilities? A can-do attitude and the desire to innovate designs? Then this job may be for you!

Responsibilities:

Electrical Physical Design (and circuit and raceway).
Responsible for raceway design, equipment location and layout, C&R schedule inputting and update, conduit and aboveground raceway design.
Works under the direction of senior engineers/designers.
Produces drawings and documentation in accordance with established design and scope including design of lighting, communications, grounding layout, grounding designs/calculations, and lightning protection systems.
Capable of independent creative design, with direction, using Bechtel and industry proven concepts, and procedures.
Ensures electrical systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations and standards.
B_asi_c Qualifications:

AA/AS degree with eleven (11) years of related design experience; or thirteen (13) years of related design experience.
US Citizenship.
Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
Lead designer or supervisory experience.
Proficient experience in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
Extensive knowledge & application of NEC code and ANSI/IEEE Standards.
Must have proven 2D GADD and 3D skills.
Must have experience with an electronic Cable Management System, such as the SETROUTE program, and be able to input and complete corrections to the data base.
Must be able to effectively communicate and work well with others and within a team.
Must be able to collaborate well with other disciplines.
Ability to cope with conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions and multiple tasks.
Excellent oral & written communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Hands-on use or classes using a 3D electrical model design platform and electrical 2D design.
Previous DOD or DOE project experience.
Experience in electrical physical design in industrial, nuclear, nuclear waste and/or defense facilities.
Experience with Creo 4.0.
