Materials and Processes Engineer

Description:
• Build and Lead all parts of Materials and Processes organization for the aircraft development.
• Lead development of the material and process specifications through collaboration with OEM, suppliers and vendors to guide program in selecting appropriate materials by drawing from civil, military and/or industry standards.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace composites and metallic materials, advanced manufacturing processes, test methods and design allowable development.
• Knowledge of aircraft flammability and structural bonding requirements for Part 25 certification.
• Provide advice on the applications, properties and processing of advanced material systems to all stakeholders - including, but not limited to, stress, design, customer support, quality and procurement.
• Perform trade studies, write proposals and support new business development plans.

Requirements:
• Must be either a US citizen, a US permanent resident (a “US Person”) or a Canadian citizen.
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of hands-on experience in advanced materials and processes qualifications, testing, manufacturing and certification of Part 25 aircraft
• 5+ years of experience leading technical resources and team.
• In-depth and current knowledge of Part 25 regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated success in dealing and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in engineering support of aircraft production line activities is desirable.
