Structural Analysis Engineer

Description:
US Citizenship is required

JOB DESCRIPTION:
A senior mechanical or a structural engineer with minimum 5 years of Finite Element Analysis experience to perform linear and non-linear analyses.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Candidates must be fully competent in the area of implicate finite element modeling and analysis using LS-DYNA, and Altairs HyperWorks suite.
• Proficiency in MSC, Nastran and ANSYS is a plus but not required.
• In addition, candidates need to have excellent oral and written communication skills, and must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Candidate with an MSME is desired, however not required.
• Consideration will also be given to strong BS candidates in mechanical or civil engineering with a focus on structural design and analysis and a minimum of 5 years work experience in this area.
• Candidate should have good working and theoretical knowledge of static, dynamic, shock, and vibration analysis
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Building quality complex shell and solid models of components including full vehicle chassis system models.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
2 to 5 years with MSME or min 3 years with BS
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
3 to 5 years with MSME, or min 5 years with BS. Previous experience with Military Tracked vehicles are a plus. Experience with fast pace, and fast turnaround of solving structural manufacturing and design related issues is beneficial.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
BS or MS in structures or Mechanical
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
MSME
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This position demands quick thinking and practical problem solving skills.
