Reliability Engineer

Description:
Supports and manages projects ensuring that designs are sufficiently robust to satisfy customers needs for equipment that is life cycle cost-effective without sacrificing operator, maintainer, or system safety.

R&M Engineering Analyst to support detailed analysis on events that occur during Development / Flight Test for the assigned IPT. Support trending analysis and Root Cause/Corrective Action investigations, develop and implement event tracking; provide event scoring and Corrective Action Factor development/justification. Support development and preparation of CDRLs, reliability growth curves and other R&M analyses, such as predictions and FMECAs. Perform data analytics in support of trend identification, validation and impact assessment, IPT reporting and supply chain management.

The candidate should be capable of performing quantitative reliability, maintainability and direct maintenance cost predictions, system fault tolerance assessments, Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and maintainability timeline evaluation. Work as part of the aircraft platform Integrated Product Team (IPT) in support of Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) efforts.

Candidate should possess excellent written and oral communication ability and must be a self-starter that requires a minimum of supervision.

Computer familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Picture Manager (or similar photo imager tool) and Outlook. Experience with RELEX / CAFTA, Raptor, WeibullSmith, Hyperion or other data query tools is preferred, but not required.

B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.

A&P license and/or aviation maintenance background is highly desirable. Experience with statistical analyses and/or data analytics highly desirable.
